New White label release, number 013: Hefeweizen

I'm very excited to have finally brewed an old favourite recipe of mine - a Hefeweizen which is a German wheat beer fermented with a unique and very distinctive yeast strain. I first brewed this beer style back in 2004 and continued to refine it (and brew a Dunkelweizen based on it) over the next decade. See the original recipe below and a later recipe from a few years later. The beer that Gez brewed a couple of weeks ago is closely based on the 2nd recipe.

I get a lot of pear drop aroma from this batch, less banana, which leads into a slightly tart finish balanced by clove notes.
